Courage as defined in this study is the strength of purpose that enables one face adversity and obstacles. True courage weathers the storm based on a given word. The word of God is replete with words that should evoke courage in times of trial. Isaiah 43:2 speaks categorically and definitively of His sure and ever-abiding presence even in the storm. It takes faith to be courageous. This faith is the one that overcomes 1 John 5:4; Faith does not deny the trouble but finds expression INSPITE of the trouble. You must never take a detour or circumvent the troubles. The faith you have causes you to prevail. Every true blessing has its journey and this journey is often in the similitude of a wilderness experience. God takes a believer from a thing, place or state, through and to a destination. This eventual destination is a perfection of original divine intent; and an opposite of where you once were. However, when you transit from and to, you must go through (a passage). Never make the passage a terminus. Many believers through fear and discouragement, make the passage a terminus. They get to a point where a momentary time of patience seem as though it is the end, and they make it so. The children of Israel were in the wilderness which was a passage to the perfect plan of God. In Numbers 13, Moses picked men to spy the land of Canaan; and the whole camp believed the evil report brought back to them; In Chapter 14:1-3, they cried and murmured and opted to return to where they came from. Lack of faith and trust in God makes us opt for a backward turn in aversion to God’s very intent in the very face of trial. This does not depict a life of courage. Joshua and Caleb were the minority who chose to trust in the words of God, which was full of promise of a land. They knew this was a passage to a purposed destiny. Never make vocal or verbalize the devil’s wish; which is to make you speak and annul with your very own words, God’s divine plan and purposes for your life. Quit getting used to the wilderness; you only should traverse the wilderness to your predestined end. The wilderness is not your end. It is not a full stop; permit me to say, it is a ‘comma’ in your written vision. God’s promises then confer on you, permission to possess; and on your way to possession, He gifts you His power and presence. God demands that you speak and decree. What you deserve and desire will never come on you; you must demand what you deserve. Romans 10:6; The word is nigh, even in your mouth. Halleluyah.
