Sermon: Remember II Text: 1 Chronicles 16 vs 12; Psalm 77 vs 11-14; Isaiah 46 vs 9-10

Minister: Rev. Dr. Sola Akinkuolie Message Excerpt In the past year, as humans so many things happened in our lives; and these things evoked emotions, some bad and good. However, it is important to take stock and take note, not for the negative effects but to realize what God has done and anticipate what He is yet to do. Things yet undone should NOT serve as triggers for complains and murmurings; instead, they should be opportunities for a recall of fulfilled promises with the hope of answers. Doing this would serve as a spring board into what is expected. Remember:

  • The Journey (Deut. 32:7-9) - God through Moses exhorted the people on the importance of counting and noting answers to prayers. This should of necessity be your posture at this time. Recall when God came through, especially when hope was lost and a way of escape seemed bleak. He made a way all because you are His portion (John 16:15). Have a full knowledge of who you are and what is meant for you. The more you know who you are, the closer your dominion is activated. Revelation 1:6; 5:10. He has made us Kings and Priests unto Him and where your word is as a King lies power. Your accurate knowledge is seen in words spoken. A King decrees and it is established (Job 22:28). He led you all through the past years and gave you victory at every juncture.

The journey of a New Year has begun and His desire is that you end well. The faith you have in God should be anchored on what He did in the past.

  • The Past - Remember where you were before God came into the picture. Until you know where you started, you will not appreciate how far you have come. Without landmarks, it is impossible to appreciate progress made.
  • The Present makes you geared up for a change in level and helps you appreciate what He has done.
  • The Promise signifies where God wants you to be Philippians 3:13-14. Keep your eyes on the promise; ensure you maintain a posture that fosters the fulfilment of His said and written promises.

Your present challenges are not an end but a hurdle and springboard for a higher pedestal of favour and goodness. Prayers

 1. Every power between me and God’s supply, collide with the rock of ages

 2. O Lord, I will not turn my back to the enemy this year

 3. In the name of Jesus, favour locate me in all my endeavours. 4. My horn is exalted like the horn of a unicorn this year 2022.

 5. I will not co-operate with the enemy of my destiny in the name of Jesus.
