Topic: My God of Second Chance
Text: Joel 2:21, 24-26, Job 42:12
Minister: Rev. Dr. Sola Akinkuolie
A believer who is in Christ has been blessed with a lot and given the ability to stand and withstand the adversary. The pains and troubles that exists in the world isn’t limited to a certain age or gender, and are often sponsored by the adversary. However, in the face of these battles, we have a God who will silence them and give you a testimony that will shut their mouth. If you’re not standing when battles come, you will fall; so that’s why we need Jesus. When pain comes, your normal strength will fail you. A person who believes in Christ has been gifted with many blessings and possesses the ability to stand firm against challenges. The difficulties and struggles present in the world are not confined to a specific age or gender; and are often sponsored by the adversary. Nevertheless, in confronting these challenges, we have a God who has given us the victory (1 Corinthians 15:57), and your past testimonies can serve as a powerful affirmation to believe for more. A believer must remain steadfast during times of difficulty so as not to yield ground to the enemy. This emphasizes the importance of relying on Jesus. When faced with pain, our own strength may falter, but glory to God, his grace is available. A person of faith understands that challenges often lead to growth. While we may experience difficulties and setbacks, we possess the inner strength to persevere (Isaiah 43:19). It is important to be prepared for new things that God is set to do. By cultivating hope and setting expectations, we can welcome positive changes into our lives., What you don’t expect, you don’t get (Joel 2:21).
Great things are possible, even if they have yet to be realized. Your life will show forth the goodness of God, and you will not be ashamed. He will work diligently in your life and provide for you personally. Initially, they may have experienced fear, but He assured them with the message: "Fear not; rejoice, for God is prepared to accomplish great things." God will turn your challenges into victories, and there will be a significant change in your circumstances. In His kindness, God continuously offers us opportunities to fulfill our purpose. Don’t stay on the canvas, rise up! You have a meaningful reason for being in this world, and you will not be a nonentity. Despite hardships, you will prevail. God consistently grants us second chances when we experience setbacks. Woe to them that are at ease in Zion. Rise up! Your enemies are looking for a moment of ease. It is important to remain vigilant and constantly resist the adversary. We must recognize that challenges may arise when we least expect them.
However, placing absolute trust in God brings strength and transformation, even in the face of difficulties. Learn to acknowledge your own weaknesses and areas for improvement; failure to do so may hinder restoration. Spiritual Restoration - By His grace, hope, and glory, you can find restoration when you seek Him. If you are looking for a fresh start, reach out to Him. Many individuals seek new beginnings but may not realize that some of the challenges they face are from within. It is important to examine yourself (2 Corinthians 13:5). Often, personal setbacks are influenced by one's own attitude. Many individuals may lack understanding in areas where they need help such as careers, marriage. Acknowledge your challenges, and trust that He will guide you through them. The Bible contains numerous accounts of individuals who faced difficulties; for instance, Jacob, who was known as a deceiver, experienced a transformation in both his circumstances and his name. While some may label you as unfortunate, your identity can be transformed to fortunate.
Mistakes made in the past can be addressed by recognizing that you can discover God's plans for you through a meaningful relationship with Him.When we approach God with humility, we align ourselves with the blueprint of our lives as intended by Him. Consider the example of Moses, who was granted a second chance. His initial zeal, while commendable, was not guided by divine direction, leading him to realize his role as a deliverer only after a period of reflection and personal growth. Making excuses for our circumstances can lead to negative repetitions that would hinder progress. The strength of one’s character should be enough to overcome any shortcomings.
